i can't fucking believe it.
i was at a party on saturday night, and come the end when it was time to go home, wouldn't you know it, someone had nicked my damn jacket. my jacket with my keys, my wallet, and my Sendo X in it! bastard!!!
i know a lot of people on here complain about the X, but honestly, since getting mine back in October of last year, mine worket perfectly. i used it to watch films while commuting, i used my 1 GB SD card to store a whole wad of Ogg files, it was just the best. and now some scumbag loser twat has it. the bastard!
anyway (got a little sidetracked there), my dimenna is, do i get myself another one (which'll cost a fair bit, seing as i'm still mid-contract and i didn't have insurance :bawling: ) or do i use my bro's old piece of shit for the time being and wait it out for the X2? (which i'm liking the look of). i know the X took an eternity to finally get released but i'm hoping the X2 won't suffer the same sort of delays, seing as it's basically just a newer version of the X itsellf.
so is there any more news on the release date, or is it still pencilled in for June/July sometime? if anybody reading this knows anything, but can't say for obvious reasons (that's you stu!), then please put my mind at rest and tell me it won't be too long! i really want to wait it out for the X2 but i reckon the end of the summer is about as long as i can realistically wait. of course, it would be nice too if vodafone let me start a new contract so i could get it gratis but i won't hold my breath on that one. oh yeah, i heard a rumour that the pricepoint is gonna be around the �150 mark sim-free, can this be right! (let's hope so!)

dilema indeed!!!!!!! i personally would wait for the x2 just for the music part of the phone but i think your �150 sim free is well short of the mark. 😮
Actually thats what Sendo mentioned at cannes so its not so off the mark. And it is expected in Summer 05.
I would advise waiting but you can also have a better choice of handsets in September coz thats when most manufacturers start introducing their new phones in order to have them on the shelves in the run up to christmas.
PS You may want to have a look at some of Nokia's new N series handsets which i think are out around this time also:

The X2 has quite a few advantages over the original X - as yet, we don't know of a specific release date but I think it will be within the next couple of months - Sendo will want to give the X2 a headstart over the N91 due out later this year.
As Masamune said, no official dates have been released by Sendo for the X2 yet. I'm sure *they* know, but they're not letting on at the moment.
You're in the UK right? If so, you'll have a really hard time getting an X out of Voda as an official handset, when I did some checking a couple of weeks ago, they claimed to only have 6 in stock in the entire of London(!). Carphone Warehouse have a few, but want silly money for it SIM free (�270) and likely will want to charge for it on any Voda tarrif as well.
I'd recommend waiting for X2, IF you can stand not knowing when it's coming out. It's generally accepted that Voda will be taking the handset, but I haven't seen anything to confirm this yet. Realistically, I think we're talking August now for a release date, but it could be later - depends on your definition of "summer". I *hope* it won't be that far away though 😊
Or you can take a look at www.expansys.nl i just ordered mine yesterday, it costs me �213.00 and i get a bluetooth headset to go with it, now that is the cheapest i can get it, with thanks to mordred660 for the tip. :icon14:
The only problem with Expansys is their constant lack of stock... and 1-5 days meaning 1-many weeks!
Well, I got mine on eBay for �120.00. Every once in a while, you can also come across some nice X-ccesories.

F4cT0r, i originally got my X from expansys last October with a Vodafone contract. together it was �120. oh, i'm in the UK as well.
the N91 looks amazing but i'm not gonna hang arounf until the end of the year. after doing some research online, i have to say the SE K750i is impressing me. i don't know if it'spossible to transfer movies onto the memory stick and watch them on it, but other than that it could well be the onew to go for.
