is there a way to confiigure my 7650 to send mail on a secure outgoing server? my mail server reuires smtp to be authenticated.

outgoing mail : mail.webfocus.ph
incoming mail : mail.webfocus.ph

on my recent mail server, it doesn't require any authenication and it works great, so could someone pls help me with my problem... thanks!!! :P

not sure if this helps but theres the option to enter a username and password in the email settings for each mailbox you set up.

There's also Secure (on/off) and Secure APOP (on/off) but I'm not sure what these do exactly.

Don't mean to take the P*ss but have you checked in your manual for email settings?

Hi,

I got the same problem. But usually your Service Provider got a mail server you can set to use on outgoing mail. Since you usually connect through their network anyway - you can send through it, since send protection is normally only IP based.

The problem is that the Nokia 7650 does NOT support SMTP AUTH message.
