Hi fellas,
i have tried syncing a nokia 9300 with outlook, the sync doest go through. when i only sync the contacts all seems fine, but when i do calendar it says 'waitng for phone to send data'. i am at it for more than a week and seem to try everything nothings working - any ideas?
the calendar have quite a number of items, but it did sync fine the first time so am thinking nothing to do with number of items in calendar, because even if i try to sync calendar with only 1month in past and 1month in future the same message is displayed.
things i have tried
1. installed latest nokia pc sync suite 6.5
2. formatted nokia 9300 to factory settings
3. created a new calendar and tried to sync that
4. reset pc suite profile
5. tried a different phone
i feel it is a problem with the setting for sync somehow not being right.
thanks in advance.

Hi - I can't help i'm afraid, other than say that I seem to have the exact same problem. I've only managed a sync with a freshly formatted 9300.
Curiously, the sync software indicates that it has recieved data from the phone (ie has received some contacts etc.) and then hangs. Then the "mobile ohone has not responded dialogue box comes up.
On the 9300, i have the error message:
Problem: agenda model
Problem number: 10
(i'll confirm the error meesage asap)
Any thoughts - how can I get my 9300 to sync???
did anyone of you fix the problem ? i have the same error, here are the details to my configuration.
Nokia 9300
PC Suite 6.6
ERROR
Programm: Sync
Ursachencode: Agenda Model
Ursachennummer: 10
On my PC I see in addition following message
57 von 113 Eintrgen sync
I also have no clue how to reset my Nokia 9300. I believe the problem occored because I switched my Email and Calender Box to an Exchange server.
Any Help is welcome
Thank you

Hi,
it took me ags to figure this out, but here is the reason behind my failed sync between Outlook and the Nokia 9300 calendar.
First, Reson code 10 on the Agenda Model stands for "Illegal date" ... this gave me the first hint, date my not be before 1980 in the symbian calendar model.
So, when you have an anniversary, the start date is stored seperately from the "reminder date", which must not start earlier than 1980.
Sadly, if you have an anniversary, e.g. at 01.January.1974, and set the reminder to "2 days before", the resulting reminder will not end up at 30.Dec.1980, but instead on 30.Dec.1979 (at least that's what I guess ...)
On syncing, this leads to the infamous reson 10 ...
Unfortunately, I have not found a workaround, and it seems to be firmware-related. Perhaps someone with a better knowledge of Symbian-Programming coulkd write a program to correct such entries, but for now, your only chance is to avoid such entries:
If an anniversary starts on or before 1980, the associated reminder MUST NOT lie in the previous year.
If you already get the reason 10 error, find any such entries and change the reminder. After that, sync DID work again for me.
Hope that helps anybody!
