Message won't delete

I have a multimedia message in outbox that will not delete! I have tried lots of different ways of trying to rid of this message but it will not go away.. the message has the word deferred under it. every time i go to delete it it asks me if i want to delete message, i press yes then it says deleting message but it does not go. i have tried going to settings,phone settings,orig phone settings but that does not work either. it jus stays there and shows on the main screen that it is trying to send it all the time but it is not....plz help me !!
