Hi there just got a nokia3230 and i got dissapointed when realised that there is no stereo-mp3.i used to owned a 3300 that was an music player.
This is is my first symbian OS phone.
The problem is that when i install apps like "Philips Camcoder Pro","photographer","CameraFx" and other trial progs when i tried to open them nothing happens. In some apps at the first sec it starts like loading but after that nothing. i tried installing on both phone or mmc mem.Redownloading the trial apps,reseting the phone several times but nothing happens. I also unistalled and reinstalled them several times too.I tried to install few games though that work perfectly. Any ideas?

are you using the nokia pc suite (application installer) to uplaod the files to your phone?
I tried both ways. Installing from the mmc card directly and installing the file from the nokia pc suite application installer. Same thing happens 😡 . Is there any possibility that my software is corrupted? if yes is there anyway to reinstall it or update it with a newer symbian version manually(without charge from nokia)??

yes its true even i tried to install some lenses and camcoder applications on this mobilephone but they didn't worked. even some games also acted the same way. i think those applications are not compatible with this mobile phone.
as far as new symbian OS is concerned i don't think we can do it ourself manually. i know this much. but if there is some possibility for doing so do let me know also.
Well i left my phone to NokIa so they will format it and reinstall symbian. I will then know if the problem is because of mobile compatibility. ANyone else in this forum have tried some off this apps? Just to know if this is a general prob

I have had the same problems with some apps. I guess its a general problem now. :icon4:
Well just got my phone and same problem again. lots of apps Includin (CamcoderPro,PhotoFx,PhotoPlus,AdobeSymbianReader) and more just can't run 😡 😡 now i am totally pissed off. No stereo Mp3 (that was my fault) but no compatibility yet? anyone knows if it is from the phone or the symbian version prob??

I have found many programs which were originally developed for the 7650 and 3650 do not work at all (just close) or they produce an error, it is one of these things where you will have to find an updated version of the program/game, or just not use it. Regaurding camcorder pro, this was one i was looking for and then realised the phone has its own hour long recorder pre-built in, maybe not as high resolution as camcorder, cant remember right now, but it will do for going to a bike show tomorrow to record on, anyone wanna see what the movies come out like if i can get something? hehehe.
