As you may or may not know All About Symbian does have a newsletter with a considerable number of subscribers on it. I have done much with it for the last 2 months because of time constraint, but I really would like to see it going
My idea would be to have someone (aside from me) in charge of compiling the content each week. They would then forward to me or perhaps a final check team and then with a weekly comment / editorial added by me and other invited commentators before it got sent out.
So I need volunteers to put it together weekly (maybe biweekly would be better). It would need contributors too.
I envisage the format being something akin to having a round up of interesting / important news, round up of forum discussions, and maybe a feature article or something similar (perhaps a few software recommendations.
The reason I'm asking for volunteers is because I dont have the time to get it out week in week out with absolute certainity.
So what do you think?
Would you be interested / what format should it take / length / time interval....

How about a rota?
Its the kind of thing I would not mind doing occasionaly but would not have the motivation or time to do it every week.
Having had previous experience of this, may I suggest one overall co-ordinator, asking for conent from various people on the rota basis. You need one overall consistent voice.
For reasons of time and news, may I suggest fortnightly issues?
Conent... well an Editorial from soeone, talking about a specific area, new releases bullet point and one paragraph per app style. An in depth review, an interview with someone from the Symbian world, a feature article(like an editorial but from someone else)...
Basically sketch out areas, but don't tie it down too much.
Would it help if I dug out some of the old Your EPOC issues so people see what I got up to reviously?
I have to much on my hands to help. Trying to limit my task list to ensure that my upcoming exams go well. It's my final year, would be foolish to screw it up 😉
Don't forget me - I'll try and do some stuff for it as well.....
Maybe Hints & Tips on Multimedia stuff, reviews of new NIM's & RM's around, etc....
Would it be possible to have something similar to Your Epoc for ER5?
It was a pity that it was discontinued after only a few issues.
A forthnight issue sounds okay to me. If possible, we should involve all the people in the admin forum, in some way or the other.
This means from the containt side, news, reviews, previews (if possible), some fun things, maybe as well a follow up on what MS and Palm are up to.
Did someone say editorial 😉 I could easilly waffle on about something once a week or fortnight without too much effort. As for structured and meaningful information on things, I could do that too, but not think of what to write about off of the top of my head.
