I recently got my hands on a N-Gage display model original style phone. Unfortunately, the thing will only play games, and when I install my phone's SIM card, it still shows no connectivity and there still is no type of menu. Is there any way to unlock the standard features of the N-Gage so I can actually use it as a phone?
N-Gage Demo Unit
It has to be reflashed with a firmware version that's not for the demo display stands. You can't do it on your own without relatively expensive flashing equipment and illegally distributed firmware files, so try your nearest Nokia service center, if they'll do it for you.
A CNSP will not flash a demo unit with release firmware....
Demo units are just that, for demo purposes only.
If the unit is *stolen, which to be honest most demo units are which appear in standard circulation, and it appears at a CNSP, the IMEI will be flagged and you will not get the device back.
i'm a manager for cingular wireless in cleveland. i have two of the phones from the display that was dropped of at my store. is there any possible way at all to make these devices work.
