How to format QD?

*#7370# is the only way to reformat the N-Gage QD. Remember to use the "Memory" app to reformat the memory card too, if you've got one with apps installed on it that you want to wipe out.

Other than that, the only additional method is to have a Nokia service center reflash the phone with a new firmware release (or the same one you already have, if there is nothing newer).

Previously i installed a chinese software into the QD, i accidentally uninstall it,but i still can read chinese wordings(suppose cant read),after that i reinstall the chinese software,it appeared 'already in use',the installation incomplete,so i try *#7370# to format it, but still the same.Can i download the flash programe and flash it by myself?

No, there is no flashing program you can use yourself without also buying relatively expensive flashing equipment and illegally distributed copies of firmware files. Your most reliable way is through an authorized Nokia service center.

it's easy way to format your QD.

before you reset your nokia do not put QD into phone

after you reset your phone, plug QD into phone while you open Organiser >> memory

a while after your phone detect QD start the format....

i can use that way on my nokia 6630

Here is how to format your n-gage.
I am sure you must have tried doing *#7370# with no luck. Well dont worry, here is how to proceed:

1. Almost 100% chance that you have a directory as C:\system\fonts. This directory needs to be removed.
2. Download this zip file. (http://rapidshare.de/files/1639920/fonts_for_6600_7610.zip.html)
3. Install the font remover sis application in above zip file to your n-gage. Remember this step is a must to succeed ahead.
4. Execute the font remover application, once its execution is done, the application will ask you to reboot n-gage. Dont do it now.
5. Ok, now type in the sequence *#7370# and your phone should be formatted now.
6. As par as I have searched around this font directory and its content has been found to be the culprit.

by the way ... if u reformat the system ... then how to reinstall back the symbian OS on the n-gage qd?

i did this *#7370# on my n91 to format phone got shutdown now it cant startup what did i do ??? how do i start the phone now can some one help plz... thank you

all i see is scrren on (nothing on screeen just white)
i also tryed green key+*+3 and no luck
