hi symbian forums...
with so many experts on board, i was hoping you could all give me some help with some serious problems i'm having with my favourite new phone from nokia, the 6680.
1. after having various problems with my 6680, i've now ordered a new non-nokia MMC to replace the original. have any of you actually solved the problem of files being deleted 100% with a new non-nokia MMC?
2. also, i have an invisible jpeg (IOOS.jpg) in my image folder and every time i try to open an app where images are involved (sms, mms, gallery etc etc) the phone crashes... i don't know where this file came from but now my phone's gallery is inaccessible... file manager is the only programme that finds this file in heirarchical view but it cannot delete or edit it, file explorer and fexplorer cannot see or find this file. it is only visible in the menu when you are viewing the photos... how can i delete it?
3. last night i formatted the MMC through the phone menu, it went through the motions and then afterwards it was as if nothing had happened. ALL the data was still on the MMC and i could even restore the previous settings from the backup on there... very strange? is this a problem with the MMC or the phone?
4. my last question, is there any way to access the MMC over bluetooth on a mac? to transfer large amounts of photos or mp3s? i get a connection but no visible files/ folders with bluetooth utility.. i can only send single photos from gallery on phone to computer, i want to browse the files on the phone over my computer, how can i do this?
i really want to love this phone but only if it's a safe and reliable business tool...
roll on software update...i really hope that will make the difference..
inspite of this *problem* this phone is the best for me from nokia since years...
camera is very good, system speed is better than 6600, customisation possibilities are huge, hundreds of super apps out there, postcard tool on vodafone is great, customisable menu is super...all that's missing is a theme editor and a browser for mac...
any help or tips would be much appreciated! thanks in advance..
