PC Connect on Linux?

1 replies · 1,179 views · Started 23 June 2005

I've recently given up on using Windows XP, in favour of a Linux OS [SuSE 9.1 professional]

I still have windows XP installed on my computer, but only so i can use the Sendo PC connect software with my X. Before i remove Windows, i wanted to know if the PC connect software will work on linux, possibly using Wine?

I understand that a Linux help forum would be a better place to ask this, so i'm asking in other forums too, but, as this is the best place for help on the Sendo, i was wondering if any of you knew...

Thanks,
Kraj x

I suggest you to install vmware under linux with a basic installation of windows xp (so you can remove the "real" one and have a single boot machine) and install Pc connect (and all the software you still need) into the virtual system. The latest versions of vmware support USB so you should not have problems with bluetooth dongles. With the P2V assistant, you can also make an image of your existing operating system and transform it in a virtual machine to be used with vmware.
