Nokia are particularly proud of this N-Gage title. Glamorous girls, fast cars and exotic locations all make up Glimmerati. But what does Ewan think of this arcade racer? Read his Glimmerati Review to find out.
Pedal To The Metal: Glimmerati Review
I must say, i feel you have been rather harsh with this title.
I do agree with some of your points, like the difficulty and that i respect this is your own opinion. but it seems you have concentrated too much on the small amount of negative aspects, while not giving enough credit to the good points
For instance the graphics. These are very smooth for the n-gage. I will admit that the cars arent very good, but just take a look around at the levels! play some paris! the lights are incredible! play the alps, and the snow and ice effects are fantastic.
the gameplay too- it is incredibly smooth, and the fantastic maps do not comprimise the framerate.
Also, by providing the high camera, they make great use off the ngages vertical screen, since the track will always be going to the north of your screen.
There is also great variety with the different type of car races, including the missions, challenges and tournaments. and also there is water races and ice challenges!
I will agree that the game is completely way too easy, but you seemed to go against this point by saying:
"I suspect that living with a game for a year or so of development time means that they may know the courses like the back of their hand, because in my driving on new tracks there just wasnt enough time to get ready for anything more than the gentle corners. Which resulting fun slammed me into the barriers and not having a smooth ride at all."
(which i also have to disagree with!)
Okay, so maby i have been a bit critical of yor views, and im sorry for this, but the agme definetly deserves more than 75%. Although i do know that aan has very tough ratings on all their reviews.
