Help with Nokia 7710 in the US - Syncing & Ringtones

Help!!!! I've had my Nokia 7710 for a month now and I am unable to sync it. I am getting the error message "SyncML Server Information" and the report reads "SyncML Client has not responded". Can someone please help me with this? Is this because I do not have a username and password? If so, please let me know where I can get one.

Also, with my ringtones, I have downloaded MIDI files and saved to the "Device" memory but my phone does not automatically detect these files no matter where I save them. I cannot select them as ringtones.

If someone can please help me out. I live in the US and no one seems to know anything about my phone (even the people I bought it from). I am a little frustrated with it. I love it but can't get what I primarily bought it for to work.

What service are you using for Sync ML? I am using mobical right now and you do need a username and password for it. As for the MIDI files i've only used mp3s.

I am using T-Mobile as a wireless provide right now. Do I need a seperate provider to get a Sync ML? Or do I just call up T-Mobile and ask for a user ID? If I need a seperate provider for the Sync ML, where do I go to sign up?

I've finally solved the dilemma of my ringtones though 😊

Okay, I signed up for Mobical but the settings don't seem to be sending to my phone. I'm not sure how to manually enter the settings myself. Nokia PC Suite is still not syncing. Please help!

What is the PC Suite version you are using ? How do you connect to your PC ? (cable?, Bluetooth?) Please provide more info. What Windows version ? Are you able to use any other applications in PC Suite ? I mean is it only PC Sync that does not work ? Do you try to syncronise with MS Outlook or what ?
