Hi All,
Well, you've heard the news, but we are all (mostly) still here, which is good.
We managed to get the firmware released, finally, and just in time!
Now, here are the themes, incase they do not make it onto the Sendo site...
CherriesTheme.sis
SilverLimeTheme.sis
WoodboardTheme.sis
SoccerTheme.sis
WatermelonTheme.sis
Regards,
pk
PS - PLEASE do not ask what is happening here, as I unable to comment
Hi
Thank you for taking the time to do this.
I see you're hosting them on your own site (and using up your traffic allocation in doing so). I hope I get the chance to buy you a pint in the near future.
Much appreciated!

Will be trying the new firmware tonight. If you need any hosting done I can sort out (temporarily)
Thanks again Kev, really appreciate the effort :icon14:
Thanks plinkykev for the new themes
After everything thats happened were still recieving great service from the staff of sendo.
I don't think many companies that'd gone bust would've done the same.

You should have seen the amount of work that went on on Wednesday to ensure the firmware and the themes were available.
I know that none of the rest of you knew on Wednesday that you would get the themes (sorry, I couldn't tell you then), but I can assue you that they guys at Sendo were still thinking of their customers right up till midnight!

Thanks to everybody at Sendo for the great work and support. Despite its flaws, the X remains way ahead of its rivals in terms of usability.
The Now! screen, the status bar always display at the top of the screen allowing you to always know your battery and network status, the stereo sound, the hot swappable and standard memory cards, the 32MB of built-in memory, the built-in Web Browser and Office viewers, the downloadable firmware updates, the no-non sense design... These are all the "small" details that make that Sendo X so much better than any other smartphone when it comes to use your device instead of showing off with your latest trendy gadget. Others are trying to catch up but aren't quite there yet. I guess that i'll still use my X for quite a long time before another brand comes up with something better.
Good luck for the future.
Right so, back to the problems now 😃 I'll start another thread for that...
Thanks to you all for your kind words. There are many Sendo people who read / respond in these threads (but not generally saying who they work for), and I am sure they will all get a warm feeling from these thanks.
Oh, and we are still trying to get a few more things out, so it isn't all over yet!

Those of you using the Expansys firmware - if you don't like the black clock hands in the themes, swap to using the French firmware, they're back to the original colours in that firmware.

Thats great news, I wonder what more stuff you have in store, its just like christmas has come early for me. 😊
Whatever the future has in store for you plinkykev, jarold and every other sendo employee I wish you all the best.
The Sendo X is still the best phone I've had for a long while and your contributions to this forum still is much appreciated. :icon14:
Well, I'll agree with Kev- comments like those above make Wednesday feel like the sweating was more bearable... lol... and we made up for it with the drinking Thursday....... lol
Jarold hadn't worked for Sendo for a couple of months- he's now happliy working for Orange just under 10 miles from his home... (jammy git)- ring me Kev :P
No bull though:- Wednesday was more than the usual mad panic and it was a "get them on the site quick"- as it stands now, I don't think any ex Sendo staff have any control over the official website - that's why the themes are not there, and the missing language pack that is on www.sendosmartphones.com -there physically wasn't time to get them uploaded.....
Someone kindof stuck their neck out with regards making the packs unlocked against Sendo salespack numbers- this even covers the samples units having the possibility of being upgraded etc. It was known among a few that there was a very high possibility that there would not be another official release (not through choice) of firmware due to events that were unfolding that day...... 😞 it really was 11th hour stuff....
As PK says; there are a few that read the forums but don't post. Myself being one of them. Even I don't know user names on here (no surprise) to match up to REAL names.... but the comments are welcome
