Hi all, this is my first post so please be gentle 😊
I'm new to 'modern' mobile phones and have recently bought a Nokia 6260 which I do particularly like (except perhaps it's a bit big, I'm used to a Samsung T100.)
However as I'm new to these I don't understand the MP4 and 3GP formats much. For example a friend bluetoothed me a video which plays perfectly yet I see from the nokia browser it is an MP4 file - yet when I download MP4's from the Net they won't play on the phone - "incompatible format."
Additionally some MP4's play on the Nokia Media Player on the PC and some MP4's don't; this leads me to think there are sub-formats of that filetype.
Is there a guide or can anyone explain these filetypes to me and also, which is the best way to convert various formats to a Nokia playable file?
Finally which is the best format (or sub-format) to use? From what I've seen the MP4's are better quality but much larger filesizes than 3GP.
Thanks in advance.
