I have a Nokia 6680 on Orange.
I've done all the things the instructions said and the phone can see the folders in my AOL account.
Then I go to the email inbox and....nothing tried to collect emails, it connects and then....nothing.
Has anyone set this up on their 6680 successfully?
What, exactly, were "all of the things the instructions said"?
Did you get and dedine a GPRS Internet Access Point for Orange?
Did you check with Orange that you have a subscription that allows full Internet use?
Did you use that access point when you defined the mailbox?
You can also test the access point with the browser ("Web"😉 to make sure that you have proper Internet access.
For outgoing email (the SMTP server) you may have to use Orange's SMTP server instead of AOL's.
Well I went to Orange World and followed the instructions.
IMAP4, IMAP from AOL, SMTP from Orange
I can send emails fine, I just cant see my inbox.
Called orange i have full internet use, can browse to anything on the phone.
When I subscribe to folders from my mailbox I can see all my folders, pick my inbox.
When I connect for new email...nothing.
If I log onto my AOL I have new email.
If I send email from my phone to myself, nothing appears in my phones inbox even if i "collect all/new email" but it appears in the online AOL mailbox.
Even tried setting it up with an Orange.net pop account. Same problem. Can't see my inbox but I can send email......
