Send and recieve SMS/MMS through PC SUIT!

Is it possible anyhow to send SMS from PC using Nokia's PC SUITE? I use IVT Bluetooth. Nokia's PC SUITE 6.5 works with IVT Bluetooth dongle but that doesn't support Nokia 6600. On the other hand, PC SUITE for nokia 6600 doesn't have any option to send or recieve SMS using PC. I tried oxygen phone manager. Unfortunately that can't find my Phone. So, is there any possiblity to send SMS using computer? 😞

If possible please help me.

thanks in advance

If you use Windows XP, configure the 6600 to appear as an infrared or Bluetooth modem (modem drivers on http://www.nokia.com/phones/6600) and then find and install "Microsoft SMS Sender" from microsoft.com

Or you can upgrade to a newer Series 60 phone such as the 6681, for example, or soon the N70, and then use PC Suite 6.6 and its text message editor feature (http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite).

Hi Guys

Followed the suggestion and I am able to communicate between 6600 phone and PC suite via mrouter (both BT & IR) - transfer files etc..

However when I try to send message from SMS Sender the application either hangs or reports an error "Failed to connect to the selected device. Check that the device is correctly connected and not in use by any other application"

Any advice, much appreciated.

Cheers

The SMS sending doesn't work with a 6600. The 6600 is missing the required functionality corresponding with the SMS sending function of PC Suite.

If you run Windows XP, search for and download Microsoft SMS Sender from microsoft.com (it will work when your phone is visible as a modem to Windows).
