Software/Utility Search

Been doing numerous searches in these boards, but still can't find the specific program or software that I am looking for.

I have a 6620 from ATT Wireless. I bought this a year ago, and for some reason, they have a graphic for the mMode button assigned to the right "Stand by" key. I have since replaced that with the camera, but I want to be able to figure out how to make one of those graphical links.

Besides being able to make a graphical link, I also want to be able to add apps into the standby section. I noticed that mMode is an option there, but FExplorer isn't which I have on the phone.

There are some minor inconviniences with the "factory settings" that I like to change, and I was hoping to find the software to do it.

I cannot rename the Profiles:
- the rename option in the profile customisation is missing. I used to be able to rename my profiles when I had my 3650, from ATT Wireless also. I named one of my profiles "Movies" and another one "Latenite"

ATT Wireless has a graphic for the screensaver.
- when I want to change the screensaver, my only options are the date, the time, or the ATT Wireless graphic. I wish to be able to change the graphic with my own.

I don't expect to be spoonfed, but a point to the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

The graphics for the softkey is operator related customization & you can't change or redo it.

Also much more flexible customization for the standby screen appeared first in "Series 60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 2" (2.6) and phones like the 6630, 6680. The 6620 is based on the "Series 60 2nd Edition, Feature Pack 1" (2.1) without these features (and cannot be upgraded).

Renaming profiles might be missing from Series 60 2.1, too (don't have a 2.1 phone at hand right now). But with 2.6, at least you can add and name new profiles. Doesn't help you with your phone, though, I'm sorry to say.

Screensaver graphics isn't easily customizable either. I think it needs a specifically written program (DLL, Dynamic Link Library) combined with a theme (created by Series 60 Theme Studio).

The only way for getting rid of ATTW customization would be to have the phone reflashed with "generic"/retail firmware, instead of an ATTW specific version. Most Nokia service centers will not change the firmware like that (they'd just put on a newer ATTW version, if there is one).

So, there is no program that can do what you want.
