6680 Default Wallpaper on the Orange Homescreen

Trying to make the best of the Orange Homescreen application on my 6680, however I would really like to change the Homescreen wallpaper to the same as the default one on the "Nokia" theme on the rest of the phone.

You CAN change the wallpaper of the homescreen, but at every reboot it sets the theme wallpaper to the same as the homescreen wallpaper image you've selected.

If we could get the wallpaper image that is used as the default for the "Nokia" (default) theme, we could set this as the Orange Homescreen wallpaper, therefore making the Orange Homescreen look more inline with the default theme, and avoiding having the default theme wallpaper set to something else than the correct image.

I've looked around my phone using FExplorer, but I've not been able to find any MBM or other likely bitmap on any of the drives (C (Flash), D (RAM), E (Memorycard), Z (Rom)).

Any help appreciated.

hi

i've changed the background on the Orange screen to another pic, and after reboots, its still there..... tried taking battery out for a while, and it's still ok...

What software has your phone got? mine is 3.04.35 - Orange may have fixed bugs that appeared in the 1st release of the phone....

No, the homescreen wallpaper stays the same, but it overrides the PHONE application wallpaper with it's selection (i.e. if you look at the theme's they are all set to the wallpaper that the orange homescreen app is using).

What I'm after is the default wallpaper from the Nokia theme, so I can set the orange homescreen to it, therefore making the Homescreen match, and the Phone application use the wallpaper that it should be using.

Hope that's clearer.

Phil

Sorted it 😊

Used a screen capture tool to capture the default wallpaper and crop it to the appropriate size using Photoshop.

Thanks
