Had exactly the same problem, but in the end I opted to use my IMAP4 account and I can now send and receive. For some reason all my POP3 accounts fail on sending which is mental.
Anybody had any info from Nokia, the manual isnt worth the paper its printed on.
see i told u im a lamer, i dont even know what an IMAP email is, can u give me the settings that u use 😊

Well, for me, i could send and receive using POP3 on my 7650. So i don't think its nokia's problem. 😉
POP3 & SMTP works fine for me - send & receive.
Thou bare in mind that to send e-mail you must be connecting via your ISP using GSM dialup as thay screen your IP addy and if your not using their ISP then your not getting in.
RE: you can not send to your ISP whilst connecting on GPRS cause you are not on your ISP's IP range you are on your providers GPRS IP range.
To do this you can still receive but you need to change your settings to send via an uristricted e-mail account.
Vadofone users for instance can send via the vazzavi mail server and receive from their normal e-mail/ISP
I personally send via my comapnies SMTP mail server which they have kindly opened it up to my GPRS IP range.
I'm sure with a little bit of searching someone can come up with an urestricted mail server which you can all send through.
If I get time I'll have a scout around.
Hope this helps
Will
Its probably that fact that your smtp server needs to be re-set to your mobile provider's server instead of your email providers server!!
I.E. Im on orange, and I have a freeserve acount, the incomming email server is..... pop.freeserve.net
Outgoing email server is .... smtp.orange.net
So try and change that.....i think that should make it work.
So if you are on T-Mobile...try smtp.t-mobile.co.uk
hope this helps!!!

I'm using free pop3 provided by HotPop. But my outgoing mail server i set it to smtp.starhub.net.sg as i guess that the hotpop one is too far for our "connection" to reach them.
But i did once used hotpop smtp to send out email. But its very slow. So i uses starhub's smtp instead. But incoming mail etc. all hotpop's. 😉
hey thanks it work 😃
There you go dude! 😉
