Anyone know if Symbian is going to release OPL for the 7650, I used to Program Psions and I am desperate to port a couple of apps over to my phone!
I know OPL for the 92x0 is out in Beta, but it specifically says dont use on another smart phone.
Any news?
Short answer is "Symbian have yet to comment on official OPL support."
My reading is that if there is a good response to OPL on the 9210, then they would consider cleaning up the current beta to a v1.0 release. At that point I suspect they would look at what the community (ie Us) are doing with it and consider then if it should be ported to the Series 60 enviroment.
Upshot is if the OPL Developer Contest gets a good number of entries, we may be able to discuss with Symbian a port to the 7650.
