I have created a new repository of public domain J2ME source code...
J2MECodex.com
It allows you to quickly search through over 3000 files. It's useful when you need to know how to go about something or need an example of how to use a particular api call.
There's also a Symbian version at...
SymbianCodex.com
Initially, this was for me and my clients' use but I have decided to make the site public.
Please contact me if you have any source code to donate or if you have any problems.

I know that j2me has been around for sometime now with a large community of developers. Have you heard about flashlite1.1. This is macromedia's move to get .swf movies on mobile phones. Personally i feel this is the future of the mobile. Macromedia is now working on version 2 of the player. This will support flash remoting,(which carries less overheads compared to web services used by j2me), xml parsing + other connectivity, data driven and gui components. You can check out our growing community @ www.groups.yahoo.com/group/flashlite/ or You can check out www.macromedia.com/mobile/ .
