I have a bit of software I use on my laptop to check how much fuel we have left in the tanks is it possible to get this converted to work on the 9500?

Do you mean for your car?
If you do you can keep an eye on your cars fuel usage with RMRCar or RMRFuel.
There are possibly others but those are the ones I know. You won't be able to import any data I don't think, but it is easy enough to start again.
