Wifi Redirect

My university has Wi-Fi all over campus, however, I can't use it. The problem is that the university redirects you to their login webpage after the connection is established if you are using a laptop or other. However, my Opera browser on my Nokia 9500 does not redirect me, therefore, I can't get to the webpage to login. I have tried copying the webpage when I am using a laptop and typing that in the 9500's web address bar, but it does not work. Any suggestions?

I also have the same problem with you and i have been searching the web for solution. The only solution i found is "Wait for the next firmware update from Nokia and hoping they will update the opera too"

I use Tmobile hotspots all the time and they redirect for logon as well. You might try getting the URL of the redirect and just having a bookmark to point you there so you can logon.

I tried that but it didnt work. I'll try again and let you know the outcome.

In the web broswer,

Tools Menu, Settings,

Under Services, 'Enable automatic redirection' Is it set to Yes?

Hope that helps,

Carl,
