Since i'm going to get one i just wanna ask Do u guys have any recomendation in bluetooth headset for 9500?
Bluetooth headset for 9500
I am using the Nokia HS-4W, and it works perfectly. The things I like are...
- There's a small boom on it that brings the microphone closer to the mouth, thus making it well suited for use outdoors and in environments with lots of background noise.
- It rest very comfortably on top of the ear without creating soreness after several hours usage (I had this problem with other types of headsets).
- The battery is fairly large (since the headset is too) and therefore lasts me an entire workday.
- The headset is very mechanically sturdy and can rattle loosely around in the pocket together with keys and other stuff without breaking. At least I havent been able to do so yet 🙄
- Works equally well on both ears without any reconfiguration. Just slap it on either one when the phone rings.
And the cons...
- Pretty expensive
- Cant use voice-commanded dialing (which is a feature lacking in the 9500 and thus true for all headsets).
wow..that'z huge, maybe i will get HDW 3 instead the one u're using right now ^^
any bad comment for HDW 3?
Well, personally I feel that the ear-thingy of the HDW-3 holds on a bit too tight (it hangs on by squeezing the ear rather than just resting on top like the HS-W4 does), meaning that I cant wear it for very long time in one go.
But to be fair, I do think that my ears are more sensitive in this regard compared to many of my colleagues who uses headsets of the same type as the HDW-3 without any complaints.
And then the HDW-3 lacks the boom, which makes it difficult to use outside or in noisy environments, if you want the person in the other end to be able to hear what you are saying. But that is also what makes it so small, so I guess thats more of a trade-off than a shortcomming.

I actually have both headsets. The HDW-3 went out fairly quickly and I have yet to send it to Nokia for repair. The HS-4W, however, was fairly dependable and still works well as far as connectivity goes. The downside of that unit is that it has become somewhat static-prone and it is harder for people to hear me as opposed to talking into the phone or using the wired headset. I will be purchasing a Jabra BT800 for the purpose of comparison, and will post a comparo when I get it.
wow that would be great,
btw how bout HS- 11W? it has a longer battery life..
Have purcahsed Nokia HS-36W should arrive in a few days. Has anybody tried this yet?
It arrived and worked as advertised out of the box. The instructions are pretty simple and so is the operation. 9500 & HS-36W found each other 1st time. It's light as well - Nokia spec is 20g. I don't have any experience of any other bluetooth headsets but this seems pretty good so far.
I've had reports that my HS-4W has a lot of echo.
Unlike my new Sony Ericsson (!) HBH-662 which sounds similar to a normal phone.
Also the HS-4W kept dropping and loosing pairing, the SE works perfectly with several different phones.
