is it possible that my phone doesn't have that feature? I checked everywhere and there is no settings inside my contact options.

should I do a hard reset? how can I perform a hard reset on 6680?

Thanks

Dont worry...

Mine doesnt have that option eather...

I think that asian versin of the phone (that one with small fonts everywhere) dont have that option (settings) on contact list...

I am updating mine with last system english version to fix all that..

The method of performing a hard-format, i.e resetting it completely to factory defaults and removing all data, is as follows:

Switch off the phone.
1.Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and '3' button
2.While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone
3.When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons

Note that you shouldn't switch the phone off or remove the battery when performing either of these operations, and it's advised that the handset has a reasonable amount of battery charge before performing a format/reset.

Be aware that the battery is full and you completely finish this action. Remember that you lose all data and settings.

Hi!....

Yes Ckrutid that is the Hard Reset... but that is not the System Version UPGRADE process ...

That process could be done only on a NSC (Nokia Service Center) ..

Its a TOTALLY Phone ROM Memory FLASH ... to delete the old system and put the new one...

You must to ask for an NSC for the last version for N6680 and go there to Upgrade...

Here's a freeware program called nameswap.sis. It swaps the first name and last name of contacts. Also compresses contact memory usage.

Attachments: nameswap.sis (5 KB)

does it sway the first name with last name or does it actually change the field?
I sync my contact with my computer and I don't want to swap computer name.

Last name: Smith
First Name: John
display: Smith John

will this program make my phone think the first name is Smith and last name is John?

It physically swaps the First Name and Last Name

Thus

Last name: Smith
First Name: John
display: Smith John

Becomes

Last name: John
First Name: Smith
display: John Smith

It will also change on your computer. Dont think this is what you want.

You can still try it though. Mark all and then swap them. If it's not what you want then do swap again to restore to original setting
