try smartmovie its good with the new firmware! its not completely fullscreen cause of the signal indicator bar other than that its fullscreen.
Henny, can you give some extra details about which codec/framerate tec. you used? And is the play back smooth(er)? Afaik, smartmovie plays movies in a kind of stuttering way...

where is Thomas? i would like to see a poll perhaps on what everyone is now using as a viewer with the new firmware. i loaded crystal and it plays VERY well after encoding, BUT it wants to cut the frame on one side (much like the 3d mark program does). thoughts?

This is a rare opportunity for me to get online. As yet, I haven't had a chance to get the GPRS friendly firmware on my X yet and as a result my video research has come to a stuttering(!) halt. I should be able to get Wanadoo up and running within the next couple of weeks (when I FINALLY get paid). I'll be watching...
