Hi,
i have some questions:
1. Does someone have the SDK and Tools from Sendo for the X from sendo.com? Can somebody help me to get them? I think they are from 2003 or some time there.
2. Did someone tried to unpack following files from the X?
themedefault_animation_XIP.mbm, themedefault_appIcons_XIP.mbm, themedefault_nowIcons_XIP.mbm, themedefault_systemIcons_XIP.mbm
I got errors when running BMCONV and cannot unpack them.
3. I also got some more not really good bitmap from other files. Does someone know why?
Please help me with that, then there will be a new good theme which i already have in work. Thanks for all.
I use the current firmware (france)

And can someone help me with getting the Sendo Bitmap Converter?

Weird. I got the German-distribution.exe files here, which i can unpack. The current files from the newer distribution (france) are not same. Does somebody knows an answer?

PS: Seems that i must reflash my device to get all files from it.
Would be great if someone can help 😊
Here are some work in progress shots....

DON'T USE the German Distribution firmware - it's the version which has the GPRS bug (and we haven't got the updated German version yet) - that's why the files are different.
For the rest... Sendo never did release the SDK stuff for the X - I was (am) a member of their dev. program, and it never got put on the website.
Sendo's bitmap converter works exactly the same as the various MBM converters out there (and is just as picky about OS etc.)
I knew the GPRS bug. So i only used the mbm files from the version with the GPRS bug, since the others cannot be extracted with bmconv. They are only bitmaps. I don't think the are harming my sendo. What do you think i should do?
The default RSC file is the same on the new and the buggy firmware.

PS: I'm a professional software developer too.

If you need help with your theme, just post me your bitmaps and i can make it with your favourite pictures. Iam going abroad, so it will be finished in august😊

First double click on bmconv.exe then run mbmwhizard.exe😊

Everything done and the problems are there. Is it only with the france firmware?
So i analyzed the most files and i think its possible to modify most aspects of the themes. I'm now trying to find the colors of the default theme where they are. Does someone knows something?

I have read a few months ago in the Nokia developer forum that Sendo had released an SDK for the X but had later withdrawn it. It seems that quite few people are looking for it since Sendo apparently screwed up and released the header files for some of the undocumented Series 60 API, which can possibly be very usefull for those whishing to implement some advanced features in their programs. This is all very vague but if this SDK really exists, it would be great if somebody could point us to the right direction to find it 😉
And here is why i bought a Sendo X:

...We are not immediately going to add APIs, we will be releasing the APIs and SDK for the plug-in architecture of the Now screen so that 3rd Party developers can write plug-ins. These plug-ins they may sell directly to the consumers, via an operator or they may be able to sell them directly to us.
...
Too bad that the SDK does'nt really exists 😞
