Music, why use MP3 when you can Ogg!!

Not seen anyone mention this program befor, but i use to use it on my 3650 and its wicked for playing music 😊 Its a good program with constant support/updates and can be found at:

You need a converter to save your fav music and i found that 16Kb 56Kb mono encoding generated tiny files, a whole album would be like 10-24meg!!!

So before you fill your phone with large MP3's, think about an alternative, oh and one converter which i use is goldwave, its actually an audio editor, but it has partial functionality for so many clicks, so should allow you to resave as you need.

"Ogg" is mentioned in 194 threads and 454 posts on these forums, and "OggPlay" in 280 posts, so the app's been mentioned a few times. 😉

Granted its in other forums, i just hadent seen anyone mention it here in the 3230 forum and anyone looking for info on there 3230 might not visit other forums 😃 But thank you for the excellent reply.

But friends does 3230 play OGG files. r u people sure.

And if yes does converting into OGG reduce the file size significantly ?

my 3230 plays ogg files. the interesting thing is that after you install the codec, the ogg files will be accessible even as alarm tone and ringtone (ie, the ogg file is not restricted just to the player).

the size depends on the quality... it ranges from 1 to 10, i believe. cutting the size by 50% from mp3 is quite feasible.
