i have this strange problem with my nokia 6630, my work lies in a location where the network signal is very week whenever i try to use the gallery or the calender while i am there my phone hangs (it gives me 'opening' meassage and stays like this forever) is this normal or is there a problem with my phone please advice
i have the same problem with my 6630,
the error only appears at work where i havent a signal.My first 6630 freezed much oftener (everyday at least one time) so i exchanged it.
Now the new one is hanging bout 0 to 2 times a week, depends on how much i use it. Everytime it freezes i restart the phone by using the FExplorer (Freeware).
You can also try to close the hanging application by using a "taskswitcher" program.
I think its a Symbian bug, i havent heard about a smartphone thats works perfect, but if the error appears too much i would try to exchange it.
Maybe there is a solution for this error, but after weeks of searching my hope is lost.
I know about this problem. U cant do anything. According to me, even formatting will not remove the problem. But u must try other ways first. Try the following-
1. Try to run ur phone without the MMC. Then open the Gallery.
2. If u have installed any third party apps or games recently, then remove them.
3. If the above 2 dont work, format ur phone. Make sure ur battery us charged. On the main screen, type *#7370#. Then enter the lock code. The default lock code is 12345. It will make ur phone just like a new one.
Note: Formatting will erase all user data like contacts, messages, etc.
If none of the above works, send it to Nokia and get it flashed.
