Click me.

I'm having some stability problems though and was wondering if anyone else are facing the same thing. I've been playing Doom 2 mostly and the game hangs randomly during gameplay leaving me with no other option than to do a battery-out reset. It has also crashed in the same way when I've died, and when I've tried to exit the game. And I've faced the same problems with Evilution and Plutonia. All those WADs are fairly large in size, so I suspect that might have something to do with the stability issues....

It is otherwise a great port though, I just hope the bugs will be ironed out soon.

I don't get that far. When I run it it goes through the menus, I select 'Single Player' and it seems to be loading then when I'd expect the game world to appear, the screen goes blank and I have to 'kill' the program. I do have a doom wad installed.

Hmm, have you tried a reboot? Do you have WildPalm's Doom installed? Maybe there is something wrong with the WAD file you have, have you tried any other?

Rebooted a few times and I did have the other doom port installed so uninstalled it but it's not made any difference.

I've only tried the 'doom1.wad' (that I was using for the wildpalm game) so far - I'll try another when I get a chance.

I had a similar snag, till I moved the wad into the folder called doom the app had created in the root of the phone's internal memory. After that, snagless.

Just tried moving the wad file to the Doom directory the program made but still got the same result.

When you say the phones 'internal' memory do you mean the phones memory or the memory card? I've installed Doom (and the wad) to my memory card as I do with all new apps.

I have it installed on the memory card, but had to copy the wad onto the phone memory to get it to work.

The one that is used with the WildPalm port does not work with C2Doom. Just get another WAD file. 😊

Hey, that did it 😊

I downloaded the original Doom 1 shareware file and used the wad from that - success!

Thanks.

Finally got it sorted! 😊 It seems that PowerDesk was causing the stability problems. Shutting off PD before starting C2Doom has solved it.
