Recently bought a generic firmware, unlocked, Motorola A1000. It was supposed to be on '3' but is now unlocked. Ive put in my Vodafone SIM card and it works fine,t he network is recognised and im able to make voice calls. HOWEVER, i can not seem to get messaging of any kind working. No SMS or MMS, everytime i try and send a text it says 'The message centre number has not been entered, please go to messaging accounts and set the message centre number.'
When i go to Settings, Connections and select 'Messaging accounts' the screen flashed as though the app is starting but nothing happens. Not being able to open the message settings means i cant enter the number for SMS messages or set up my wap/gprs account for picture messaging. How can i make the messaging accounts tab open?!!?!?
