How can we protect phones from viruses ??

is there a way to check files on a computer??
or is there somesort of antivirus??

The simplest way, without any additional software or tricks required:

1: Do not install software from sites with cracked/pirated applications.

2: Only install software from reliable sources/sites (this site, for example, or http://www.my-symbian.com, or http://www.handango.com/ and such). Use common sense.

3: Do not install unsolicited software sent to you over Bluetooth or MMS (or email or any other way). Remember: Even someone you know may have an infected device sending bad stuff to you without their knowledge. Be especially careful in nor accepting Bluetooth connections from strangers (= don't accept them).

4: For extra measure of safety, keep your Bluetooth setting as "Hidden".

Follow those measures and you have no worries.

Remember also: No existing malware (malicious software) for mobile phones installs itself without you knowing it. The phone user has to *ALWAYS* accept and complete the installation by actively allowing the installer on the phone to proceed. So, even if you have for some strange reason or another accepted and opened a message from an unknown source/sender, you still have a couple of opportunites to stop & think & cancel/abort the installation.
