Web Browser on 6680

How do I find out what I have and what version it is?

I think its Opera (is that what came with the phone)?

Thanks

The built-in, default browser is Nokia's own browser ("Web" in the phone menu).

If it came with Opera, then Opera would be named "Opera" in the menu. If it was something else, like Access' NetFront, you'd see "NetFront" in the menu.

I just got Nokias web browser, not Opera. Thats on Vodafone.

I have downloaded Opera 8 free from their website and it is 10 times better than the default browser so I would recomend getting it if you haven't.

Right

Bear with my now people please.

Ive just opened the web bit, gone into options, details, then Name and Version.
Its coming up with; Series 60 Browser V2.6 (0437) which im sure is the Nokia one mentioned.

However. Using FExplorer and going through the E drive/memory card, Ive found that Images has an Opera folder.

Also! The Others file has an Opera folder. And, in the System folder, Under Apps. There is another Opera folder which has loads of stuff in, including an Opera.app

In E/system/install theres a file called opera_s60_760

Ive just noticed that the memory card has has 37mb out of 60 full as well

😮 😞 😞 😞

Whats wrong? Have I been given a used phone by o2? I Never put Opera on and doubt I put 37mb of stuff on either!

help

Run/install opera_s60_760[.sis] (seem to be version 7.60) and you'll have Opera, too. Then (or maybe even without installing it first), you can upgrade to Opera 8.
