I have an N-gage classic, when I switch the power on, all I get is the white screen. Then the phone powers off. What should I do, any suggestions?

omg u dope. THE WHITESCREEN OF DEATH.

It happens when u go over the space that the n gage can hold.

EG: The n gage can hold roughly 3-4mb of space, stick a 6mb song on it and the device cant start up because some of the space is used for this.

I have since learned (or so I'm lead to believe) that WSOD is caused by the phone trying to load up too many APPLICATIONS on it's start up. The symptoms being... THE SCREEN LIGHTS UP, THE NOKIA LOGO COMES ON, THE LIGHT GOES OFF and then THE LOGO FADES AWAY.
Thanks for staying with me on this, I hope that it has served a purpose of some sort or another to you all. P.S, If anyone nows how fix this PLEASE tell me.

ANSWER

that is correct, WSOD is caused because there is not enough 'disk' space to save temp start up files. As doom has to be installed to the phone memory the chances are that you just filled up all the space left and the reset finished it off. Sending it off to nokia for a re-flash and new firmware is the only known solution.

Thats how you do it.

actually, i took it to a tmobile store, where i got the n-gage, and we put a battery in it. it works fine, i just can't get mine to charge, it may be the plug i stick the charger cable into, because i tried multiple chargers... anyone have some input?

There is another solution. Try to start/turn on ur phone by holding the pen key while the phone is start. This is will bypass all of startup file/apps on ur phone. If it works, remove the apps that have startup files on ur phone. Hope this help 😊
