Hello all.
I'm getting a bigger DV RS-MMC card next week and was wondering what's the best way to transfer everything from my 64MB to the new 512MB?
should I just copy everything from one card to the computer then copy it to the new card? or should I reload everything again?
Thanks
You sure there is anything on it?
I changed mine this week and the only thing I lost was Opera which is what i installed. All the original phone stuff is stored on the phone.
Apologies if you have loads of videos etc on. In which case I can't help 😉

Yes, i have loaded quite a few application, games and video on the 64MB card.
the 512 will be here next week and just looking for an easy way to move everything over to the bigger card.

The best and easiest way to get everything over for sure is by using a PC based USB memory card reader; copy all the files to your PC first, and then back to the new card.

Yes this is the quickest and easiest way but make sure you have hidden files shown on your pc and also copy and past instead of drag and drop.

All my applications are setup to use MMC. I used the card reader method above to copy from Nokia 64k card to 256k card without a problem. Just format new card via phone first. and as cyberkid said above, make sure hidden files are selected. :icon14:
What I did when when my 512M card arrived was:
- put the old 64M card in the card reader and created a zip file of everything in the card
- put the new card in the phone and formatted
- put the new card in the card reader and unzipped the file
I did this to preserve the date and time of the files (I thought it would be good for the sync software)....
Only problem I had was that icons were not put back in the folders I had created so I had to arrange them again.
