I dont know if this has been discussed before, if it has I missed it..
For the past two months I have been happily using t-mobiles 20 for 10MB a month picture messaging service, which I'm sure people will be aware also let you use the GPRS data network within that 10MB...
Not so any more... with the introduction of their new bundles for picture messaging you now get 300 picture messages a month... and NO data...
Ok so I speak to a few people before getting the response I need... how much does data cost on GPRS then?....
2pence per kilobyte!!!!!
and no date as to expected official GPRS release dates
Great!!!
i just told t mobile to stuff it where the sun dont shine as they told me at first that it was 20 per 10mb used ! ( not that this was a recurring charge )
Hence: My phone was on GPRS and i had used 2mb, to find my bill was being charged at 20 a month and i had a carphonewarehouse loan phone that does not offer GPRS how the F*** could i use what i am paying for !
My Boggle at the end of the day is that after 2 hrs on the phone to them they gave me 20 back for this months that i have not been able to use ! and Carphonewarehouse after all my mythering to them have given me 15 but at the end of the day this is not a good will gesture as i was mislead and sold something incorrectly to start with !
UK Sux for Mobile pricing and we all know it ! T Mobile will bring out cheaper GPRS once 3 G is out and will we want it then ? WIll we hell ! Stuff em'
Yeh.. we have discussed this before... but quite recently... I havnt got my 7650 or the T-mobile contract yet but i wanna do the same...
If you ask at Carfone Warehouse, Phones4U etc... :x they will tell you that the 20 for 10MB thing is still available. Well I think from a reliable source that they have definately stopped the 20 a month deal! However the GPRS function is still available as a part of the Picture messaging thing {When you send MMS you are actually going through GPRS}. This will cost around 2p per KB which is HELL EXPENSIVE.... :agrue:
When talking to good old T-Mob:
Our GPRS network is built, tested and ready for launch. We are now waiting until there are GPRS devices and applications that we believe will make a true difference to our customers. Please visit the T-Mobile website at http://www.t-mobile.co.uk where any new information about GPRS will be updated.
but when GPRS is launched officially they may offer inclusive bundles in their tarrif like all the other MobTelCo's 😊
😞 however, you might be dissapointed to know that there are also rumours of T-Mobile thinking of dropping 2.5G {GPRS/HSCSD} all together and go for 3G provision next year... ! Lets just hope that they support us lot on the GPRS aswell... I want them also to support HSCSD {then I can stream videos 😊}

hahaha 😃
yeh... Me agrees... coz they are giving me confusing messages.. The worst thing is there is NO communication between the MobTelCo's and the High Street shops... I went to Phones4U 2 days ago to be told by the "area manager" who was doing staff training that day:
Yeh... i can do that for you with the 7650 for about 130, my lowest price, and a monthly fee of 15 plus 20 a month for 10MB of Data sent through G..P..R..S..
hmm... yyyyeahhhh.. rrrriighht!!! Ive lost faith in High Street Shops !!

last saturday the first guy at T Mobile said that if you also go over your limit is is 2 per KB ! I think the guy is a little confused ! as one mb over your 10 mb limit would cost you around 2048 for 11mb !
What a t!t .......... and is he really trying to sell the product !

yeh.. probably just a mix up OR typo.. u know I do stuff like that all the time... they should be trained a bit better... the guy that dealt with my query was quite well knowledged though!!
...but T-Mobs support service beats that from phones4U who were trying to rob 20 of me for some service that never existed :P
