My 6680 wont turn on when my mem card is in. It comes up with NOKIA then it fades and then it comes up again-like its trying to start but cant. I have to turn it on without my memcard and then put my mem card in. Has any1 else had this problem? Anybody know how to fix it?

Sounds like you might have an app installed on your card that is causing this problem. If it is doing it on start up, then it's likely to be an app that loads up every time you turn the phone on.
A simple way to fix this would be to wipe the card and reformat. But you might want to try and isolate the program by reviewing what apps you have installed that might auto start every time the phone is switched on.
REMEMBER !! If you reformat your card, make sure you have the installation programs of any apps you have on there so you can re-install.
These things are usually solved by trial and error.
Ok i think the best thing to do is format my mem card. Ive listed all the apps installed on my phone below as they read in the app manager. Which ones will i need? Which wont I need? Where can i get them from because i have no install files. They all came on the phone apart from FExplorer(i have that install file). Cheers

Virtually all of those are available FOC from the Nokia sites. Not all are on the UK site, you will have to look at the MENA and Asia Pacific Nokia sites. Go to each territory's 6680 pages, then check out the software pages and you should find all that there.
Do make sure you have everything first before wiping the card. And I must emphasise you wipe the card at your own risk and I won't accept any responsibility for you losing stuff you didn't want to lose ! 😊
I went to Nokia about this problem too,they just change a new card for me and the problem was solved,however theya lso advised me that if the same problem occurs,then just save the system files in the card to my PC then format the card using a card-reader,later just format the card once more in the phone and reload the system files back in from the PC,that's how it is done. 🙄
Ok i have reformatted and reinstalled all the programs from the nokia web site and it now works again fine, Cheers for that help. Just a few applications listed below I couldnt find. Could anybody tell me what they do and where i could get them from? Cheers in advance for any further help

The MVEngine and the MVPS files are part of the Movie Director library available Here.
The SIP OTA Adaptor is related to Over The Air downloads. SIP stands for Session Initiation Protocol and is used on a push based network. Not sure where this came from. You may have bought a game for your phone where you received a message to connect you to the download page and this installed the OTA adaptor. I do recall seeing a related download somewhere on a Nokia site, but can't find it right now.

To said to read that my problem has taken several hours without solving is a know problem for Nokia. So did my operator know.
First time it worked if I just removed the memory. Now it seems that not even that helps, maybe because I�ve updated my phone with Nokias updated files, just to get it to work.
Bye another phone if you don�t wanna spend several of hours with things just to get them to work.
Nokia 6680 since three days 😞
