7650 Arabic language suport pakage

I wish there was! As i really want arabic software.

But I read in an arabic forum that even the versions you find on the net screw up your phone, someone had one installed for three days then his phone got busted, he lost all data somehow!

Guess we should wait from the operators, as some operators promise arabic software upgrade. (PS> thats in the middle east, dunno about UK and stuff, why would you need arabic anywayz ?)

I believe that arabic support for 7650 will never come, as I haven't heard of it yet, buyt that doesnt mean it won't. Normally if Nokia doesnt release arabic support for a phone after 6 months after it has been released, it ususally means there will never be any arabic support. The symbian OS also causes some problems I think with arabic. However, arabic keypad 7210 have already started shipping quite some time ago and are available now in the UAE at least, and 7250 the new camera phone will be available in UAE on Feb. 1, 2003, unless there's a delay in manufacturing or any problems occur at the Salo plant.

I went on a quick business trip to Canada, such cheap phones there, I think the best they got is 8390, and some color phone from Telus. Oh well, my modified 8910 turned heads there. I got the Nokia 8910 specially modified in Finland so that it also works on 1900 USA and Canada networks. So yeah long time but I'm back. 😊

Thanks a lot. Anyhow, any major new updates on the forum lately? Most likely all of you have seen the new phones from Nokia by now. It's a shame they didnt make 8910i a world phone, but expect an 89xx middle of next year with world capability, just as they did with 8850 and 8890. As for a new communicator, I have no clue as to when Nokia will be planning to release it. I'm not even sure final design has been completed. And trust me, for the moment there is nothing such as 7650i, that's all rumor.

Also to all people who live in the UAE and are patiently waiting for MMS service to arrive, I talked with my source in Etisalat yesterday as I'm getting kinda impatient and expect it to be ready by Jan. 1, 2003.

I heared it is avaliable in Dubai? is it true?

There is a local store in Kuwait which claims that it can do it ... but i heared that their program has some major clitches .. i dont want to take the risk!

Same here, i heard about that store in kuwait too. But everybody was reporting that their phones got busted in a day or two, and it does'nt seem to work quite right.

About the arabic language support, time by time, when nokia announces new firmware, there's new languages that get supported, (and T9 dictionaries) so far, in the latest version 4.39, arabic is still not supported! But Psiloc has made arabic software possible with a program for the 9210, maybe they could do the same for the 7650?
