Access to PIM

Hi,

I'm new to this site. I'm working on a project right now that requires me to access the phone's PIM because I'm dealing with contacts and calendar events. I worked on a similar project like this before for windows applications. For the windows app project I was able to find some sample code online that allowed me to access the PIM information. Does anyone have any tips/advice or maybe direct me to the right direction? Thank you.

Oh yeah, I should probably mention, I need access to PIM where JSR75 is not available. PLEASE help!!! thank you.

You're asking on a C++ forum, but specifically mentioning JSR-75, which is a MIDP Java thing.

Which is it? If you want to do it from MIDP Java, then without JSR-75 you can't.

It might also be useful to know which phones (or at least phone platforms) you're thinking of, if you're thinking of Symbian & C++: Series 60, Series 80, the Nokia 7710 or UIQ?

Once you know the platform(s) you're targeting, get the appropriate SDK and start looking for appropriate APIs in the API Reference, code samples, etc.

For Nokia's Symbian platforms look for the tools, SDKs, examples and other documentation on http://forum.nokia.com

For generic Symbian stuff go to http://www.symbian.com/

For UIQ go to http://www.uiq.com/ or http://developer.sonyericsson.com or http://www.motocoder.com

Sorry, I'm actually gonna be working with UIQ, specifically the Sony Ericsson P800. I'll take a look at the UIQ site you posted.
