SMS Backup PROBLEMS

Hello everyone!
I have NOKIA 6600 phone, a few days ago some problems appeared with it. I had to store most of the smss that I got in the last few months, so after some time, the number of smss is over 4000, they are stored in my folders in 20 different folders, of course all that is on MMC. Not long time ago the phone become slow, and very often says that it has insuficent memory, so I have to restart it and etc. I want to backup all smss from there, I want to transfer them in a text file to pc, anyway, I have some problems doing that so, I hope that someone from here can help me. I tried to backup the smss in 2 ways. First I installed Oxygen Manager, but, it didnt worked good, I had a problem to connect it to the laptop via infrared port. I tried with 2 different versions of OXYGEN, and it didnt worked. I manage to connect the phone with the laptop with PCSuite, and it works fine like that, I can transfer pictures,videos etc...but ofcourse I cant read and store smss. I found one program also, its called messagestorer, version 1.0.2. I installed the program, it recognises and reads the smss, but when I try to save them in text file, or if I try to save/send anyhow, it says reading messages and it stops like that. I left the phone for 2 hours but nothing, obviously the phone is blocked when it's in that situation, I tried like 100 times but nothing, in 99% of the cases the phone is blocked with that "read messages". The only way when it saves smss to text file is when I try to store 1 or 2 smss max, it doesnt work always, only in 30% of the cases. Anyway, I have 4000 smss so, its not an option. Meanwhile I'm downloading other OXYGEN, while I do that....I wanted to ask you guys, does any one of you have idea what's wrong with the message storrer or with my phone? Why it doesnt works? btw, the support of the program is awful, there is no troubleshouting or anything that can help...
