How to solve most of your mrouter connection issues!

After going completely nuts trying to figure out a solution to connect my A920 and A1000 to my PC via mrouter.

If you cannot see the correct 'usb/cable' tickbox/menu in the mrouter settings area, then do the following.

[Open the device manager]

XP/2003
Open up the control panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager

2000/98/ME
Open the control panel -> Device Manager

Now the following is a bit hit and miss, so don't fuck about with settings you can't afford to lose.

Find the Universal Serial Bus controllers box, then click the + and it should bring down a drop-down box with multiple options [depending on how many usb ports you have]

If you have a 'Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller' option, right click on it and select disable.

mrouter should immediately respond to this and open up a spare option, with your phone 😃

If this does not solve your problem, keep selecting different options under USB controllers.

The only other cause I am aware of, is a conflict with internal modems, to disable this find 'Ports (COM & LPT)' or Modems and disable your modem. If you are using the modem it will disconnect your from the internet [56k] so be warned.

I Hope this comes in use to some people, it's taken my 16 bloody months to figure it out. 😎
