Sometimes the 9500 stops accepting calls, or otherwise malfunctions. Is there any way to do a system reset or cold boot aside from yanking out the battery?

there is an application that will reboot the phone for you, it comes packaged with iDesk. Search these forums, or my-symbian forums for the latest version.
