try ultramp3, but for my part i use ogg player

every time i install ultramp3 and try run it, it disappears back to screen. so cant run program.

Try Lifeblog, it moves SMS messages - both received and transmitted, to the PC at each sync.

It's free (on the phone), but you will have to pay for the PC app after a while.

It works perfectly, also taking care of pictures.

Well .. i duno if this helps .. but the best ever program i found to transfer sms messages is " Oxygen Phone Manager " the latest is i guess 2.7 .. so u mite wana get that for symbian phone .. and d'load the demo .. read the messages in the phone .. and save as text file 😊 all messages get stored in a txt file with date and time and number in a very clean ordered way ..
