Hello there.
I just need some help making my N-Gage QD good.
So i wanna ask if it's possible to update your SymbianOS?? From version 6.0 to 7.0 or just the firmware update is possible ?? And how much would firmware update cost me in Europe.
Secondly, i wanna completely format cellphone and MMC. I know how to format MMC, but how do i format cellphone ??
Third, i don't know where to find the RealOne player for the N-Gage QD.
And last, what software would i put on it??
EDiT: Well i found that you can update firmware but i require info on what documents i would need for that and what company does that here in Romania, Europe
For the second question i found the info.
Third one still apllies. The download link has that radio subscription and it wants a credit card 😞 And the free version is a .exe and i don't think i can use it on my phone.
You can have the the firmware of your N-Gage QD updated at your nearest Nokia authorized service/repair center, but there is no way for you to do it on your own without relatively expensive flashing equipment and illegally distributed firmware files.
A firmware upgrade will update the firmware, but never with a newer version of Symbian OS or Series 60. Those will remain at Symbian 6.1 and Series 60 1.2 even with a new firmware version.
The N-Gage QD (the user memory, C-drive) you can reformat by dialing *#7370# in the standby state (where you'd dial a number). You need to enter the phone's lock code (default is 12345). Do it with a full battery or the phone on AC. All your data in phone memory will be lost (nothing on the SIM or memory card).
