No contest. The 6230i is a Series 40 phone, therefore it doesn't run the powerful and scaleable Symbian OS which is found on the Series 60 6630 phone.

If you want a Symbian based phone with all the power and flexibility that Symbian provides, go for the 6630 or even a 6680. If cost is an issue, the 6600 is still a very worthwhile device and can be picked up used on places like eBay at very reasonable prices. My son recently bought a brand new boxed 6600 off eBay for �100 (GBP). We now have 5 Series 60 devices in the household, with my partner also having a 6600 and I have my 6680. This makes for great compatibility with software and services that we all share on the common platform.

We keep two 7650's in the drawer for emergency use 😉

So, in conclusion, the 6630 is far and away the better phone to buy, but don't forget the 6680 or 6600. Even the Symbian based 6260, 6670, 7610 & 3230 are better options than the 6230i.

And there are more Series 60 phones coming with the N series of phones due very soon.

Once you go Symbian, you'll never go back 😉
