So Slow - Can you increase the basic phone RAM Allocation?
Can't send True Tone Ring Tones
Can't insert Names/Numbers into Text Messages
Poor Quality Speaker For Music/Loudspeaker
Can't remove Covers/Dust on Screen
Battery Life Short
Does anyone know of solutions to some of these (esp the software issues)?
all you can do about the above issues is contact nokia and voice your disapproval, apparently i am the only user to have experienced these problems!!

u can remove it...im using my nokia for almost a month and i dont have dust problems 😊

I have to say I'm pretty happy with it. Especially after the Motorola POS I had before. The 3230 does everything I could want...just need to figure out how to use an eBook reader.

for this, there's a trick you can use, which i picked up when i owned the 6600 (that actually crashed more often than 3230). if you reboot the phone everyday, you won't get anymore crashes. a good time to do it is right before charging at night; just turn off, then turn on the phone, and then plug in the charger and go to sleep.

try renaming the files to .doc or something. then send it using File Manager... that's always worked for me.

nokia has always been pretty weak in this area... the 3230 speaker isn't better or worse compared to 7610/6670. i haven't used 6630/6680, so i can't compare to those...
"Battery Life Short"
don't know what you've been using on your 3230, but i've timed myself, and i found i get 3.5 hours of talk time + 30 minutes other activities on a single charge. on my old 6600, i'd be lucky if i get 2 hours of talk time (and the 6600 has a higher capacity battery too).
