I can't define acess point.
I do everything as instructed but nothing is stayin saved. When I go back, same message apeers, saying no acess point defined.
I do have some working acess point on the list, end when I try to configure e-mail, i get list. I do not get same for MMS.
What to do?
If you do it manually, then in "menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Access Points" you for normal needs should have:
- One access point for WAP
- One access point for MMS
- One access point for [GPRS/3G] Internet access (packet data, a so called Internet Access Point or IAP)
Then in the Messaging app hit "Options > Settigns > "Multimedia message" and for "Access point in use" select the MMS access point from above.
For email use the Internet Access Point.
For browsing you can use the WAP Access Point for WAP services/bookmarks and the Internet Access Point for normal web servers.
And, you can also order/request all the access point settings be sent to you as configuration (text) messages (then you just open the message from the Inbox, hit "Options" and choose "Save"😉.
Your network operator should be able to send the configuration messages to you either from their web pages, or by calling their customer service.
If you type in your operator's settings manually, you have to get the values for the different access point settings fields from your operator.
Note also that some operators may need to specifically enable/provision you for MMS, etc., through their customer service (before things start to work, even if you have the settings correctly on your phone, already).
You can also order the configuration messages for many operators from Nokia's settings pages: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,71993,00.html
