I have a 6630 on Hutchinson 3 network in the UK. Is there a way to remove, or replace, the operator logo? The "3" sits like some misplaced character on the screen not matching any theme or even making any real relationship to the operator; could they not actual allow an actual logo!
I have only had the phone a week (my first) and have tried using FExplorer to place an image and set as operator logo, but I think "3" has some code or setting that ignores/replaces the operator logo settings. I have trawled through the system files and seen numerous setting and ini files that seem to have oplogo info; is it one of these? In Z:\SYSTEM\SHAREDATA\100058EC.ini there is ShowOpLogo=0, can files in Z(rom) be changed?
Please help.

I have just downloaded the zip file to remove the operator logo from my 6680 sorry if this is a stupid question (I am new to smartphones as you can tell) but what do I do with the sis file? where do I put it, thanks.
transfer it to your phone and execute it. If you send it via infrared or bluetooth it would be better as the file will be on the messages folder and when you try to open the message you'll be asked if you want to install the application, answer yes and you are done.

Thank you for that I will no doubt asking more questions as time goes on.
Thanks K.
No joy with OpLogoRemover, I think "3" goes deeper than that. It must be set in the ROM; "In Z:\SYSTEM\SHAREDATA\100058EC.ini there is ShowOpLogo=0, can files in Z(rom) be changed?"
I guess the ROM would need to be flashed; will this get done when I have the phone unlocked and would it also remove the "3"?

Using a file explorer like Profi Explorer, or hook up to your PC with the data cable, go into C:\System\Apps\Phone\OpLogo and delete the file in there.
This will revert back to a text-only indication of your network.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris
