Startup Tone

Hi,

I've searched through all the menu's and I can't find anywhere to disable the frustrating startup tone, has Nokia disabled the feature?

Disabling it has never been a feature. Workaround: Switch the phone to the silent profile before you power it off. Shortcut to switch between silent/general profiles on the 6630 and newer phones: on the standby screen a long press of the '#' key.

Thanks, I know the previous models like 6310i, 6230 had the option to disable it.

Or you can press any key to skip the sound when it starts playing...not a workaround, but better than nothing.
