First of all i'd like to say hi to the community :P
Secondly i have an issue about transparency on bitmaps and importing that into the theme.
I've tried alpha, didnt work. then i tried the photoshop tranparency and nothing...
how the hell do I get tranparent parts on the clock. i thought about indexed tranparent color but thats as far as i could do...
Plz help me out.
😊
Greetings to the community from a noob in theme making!
I've got roughly the same problem as hazardous only with the "highlights" section of the theme.
What I'm trying to do is make a round-cornered, solid-outlined, semi-transparent filled rectangle to serve as highlight. I've created a nice one with corel draw, saved it as png (as neither bmp nor jpeg support transparency) with fully transparent backgroung and 50% transparency for the filling.
When I put it in my theme it appears as a white rectangle with a solid blue round edged rec in the middle.
After doing some research in the fora here I figured I should use the mask tool for the transparent bg. The problem is I can only get the "mask" tool in theme studio to work with the 4 corners of the list highlight area. How do I use the mask tool for the whole bitmap. Can I import a custom made mask, say from Corel Draw? And how?
I noticed the mask tool is an 1 bit implementation which meens you can only achieve visible/not visible pixels. How do I make gradient/fade effects?Foe example how do I make a highlight rectangle to be 50% transparent?I have seen some themes using it so there must be a way.
Thanx in advance!

The gradient transparency only works on standard masks and not in 1bit ones.
And i think you can only mask corners in that section. And no the studio does not import trasparency from the editor, you must be another image pasted with the mask tool on(again it only works with standard masks) usualy a grayscale pic (like an alpha channel)
First of all thank you for the answer!
The thing is I've tried to import the image with the mask but it doesn't work. If I make a greyscale image, blabk and white actually, how do I make Theme Editor to use it as a mask? (I answer my self, click "mask" and import the blackandwhite image...It was actually kinda easy...**me=stupid**)
And if the Editor supports only 1bit transparency, how do they make themes with semi-transparent highlights?Maybe another prog?

well you cant have semi transparent with 1bit its just impossible :P
one bit means its enther a "1" or a "0", on or off :P
I want to ask how do u import the image and what if the mask option is grey (disabled)? How can i make an image with transparent background (ex. call info)?
